Grace Family Church’s   “SCRIPTURE DEPOT”
‘Shipped From Our Heart to Yours’
December 2017   #12 Scriptural Prayer Priorities

Our first prayer priority is to pray for those in authority.  You do not pray for them because you like or do not like them, you pray for them because the Lord tells you to.  Ask the Lord to raise up godly man and women to be in authority
I Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
v2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

We are to pray for the United States.  Pray that the Lord will protect our country and heal our land from all of the hatred and divisiveness.  Declare America is a righteous nation

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.

The Bible teaches that we are to pray for Israel and the Jewish people

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Deuteronomy 26:15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel…

We are to pray for the salvation of the lost

1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, v4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  v17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them: 'As I live,' says the Lord GOD,'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?

We are to pray for our family, loved ones and ourselves (you can pray any scriptures that you feel appropriate in this category.  Here are few examples)

John 10:10….I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

3 John 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ

Neheniah 8:10……….Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

Pray, Lord use me today open my eyes, I intend to seek and do all I can to save those who are lost

Luke 19:10 for the Son of Man (and us) has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
