The Word of God
(David) You Are Blessed When You Delight and Meditate on the Word You Prosper
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; v2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. v3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
(David) Plain and Simple, He Loved the Word
Psalm 119:113 But I love Your law.
(David) Love the Word Have Great PeacePsalm 119:165 Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
(Solomon) Love Wisdom Father Rejoices, Your Natural & Spiritual Father
Proverbs 29:3 Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice
(Jeremiah) God’s Word was a joy and rejoicing to Jeremiah, his delight
Jeremiah 15:16 Your words were found, and I ate them, And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.
Attending Church
(David) He Loved ‘Church’ Where God’s Glory Dwells
Psalm 26:8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, And the place where Your glory dwells.
(David) He Delighted in Being in ‘Church’. It Seemed Like He Wanted to be There Continually
Psalm 27:4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. v5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
(The Sons of Korah) They Longed to be in ‘Church’
Psalm 84:1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty. v2 I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the LORD. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.

(David) His Delight Was To Go To ‘Church’
Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go into the house of the LORD ."
(Christians) Unity is Good and Pleasant, Church is Where This Happens
Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Delight in Doing God’s Will
(David) He Delighted to do the Father’s Will. The Word He Put Deep in His Heart
Psalm 40:8 I delight to do Your will , O my God, And Your law is within my heart."
(The Sons of Korah) They Delighted in the Lord and Longed for Intimate Fellowship with Him
Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.
v2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God……
(Jesus) He Came to Earth in Obedience to His Father. He Delighted to do His Father’s Will
John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
(Paul) He was called to Preach the Word. He Delighted in the Word and Would Have Been so Miserable if he Could not Preach
1 Corinthians 9:16 For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!
(Paul) He was a Very Powerful Religious Leader. Once he Met Jesus, he Lost Everything and was Always Under the Threat of Being Killed. He did not Care. Jesus was His Delight
Philippians 3:8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
(Jesus) He Tells us That When we Delight in Living Right We are Filled with the Blessings of the Lord
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
Delight in Commitment
(Jesus) When the Time Came for Him to be Crucified, He Set His face to Die For Us. His Delight was that His Sacrifice Would allow us to be with Him Forever
Luke 9:51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,
(Jesus) He Loved us so Much that He Endured the Suffering and Shame of the Cross. His Delight was to Know that His Sacrifice for us Would Allow Us to be with Him Forever
Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
You Can Delight Even in Death
(Paul) He Delighted in Jesus so Much that he Wanted to Die Physically and go to Heaven to be with Jesus. He Knew Though that his Being Alive was Needed for Him to Teach Christians
Philippians 1:23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. v24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. v25 And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,
