Jesus is with us and helps us as we minister
Matthew 20:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, v20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

As we continue the ministry of Jesus, He works with us by the power of the Holy Spirit
Mark 16:20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Jesus asked His Father to forgive us and so did Stephen
Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
And they divided His garments and cast lots.
Acts 7:60 Then he (Stephen) knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Jesus Light of the World, we are the light of the world as well

Jesus is the Vine We are Branches – we are one
John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

If the persecuted Me they will persecute you also
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you,' A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

As the Father sent Jesus into the world to fulfill His ministry, the Lord Jesus send us into the world to continue His ministry
John 17:18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

God the Father loves us as much as He loves Jesus

No Comparisons with another we each follow Jesus

As you spend time with Jesus (the Word), you will become just like Jesus
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

The disciples taught daily in the temple and every house, just like Jesus did
Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

When you persecute Christians you persecute Jesus
Acts 9:4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"  v5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting….."

Jesus is the Head, We are His body – we are one

Jesus laid His life down for us (literally) we are to lay down our lives for others
I John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Using the Word of God and our personal resolve we are to imitate the ministry of Jesus

The Word will make us like Jesus not like the world
2 Peter 1:4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature…..’

1 John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world
