Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 44
February 13; Revelation 16:1; 254/260(III); ‘The Wrath of God’
Revelation 16:1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."
Seven angels have seven bowls of the wrath of God. When they are all poured out the end of the great tribulation has come. The battle of Armageddon follows, when the Lord Jesus literally destroys a 200 million man army by the Word of God that He speaks out of His mouth. Armageddon is called a battle, but in reality it is not. It is a slaughter. Jesus wins. Several of these bowls of wrath are similar to the plagues that came upon the Egyptians, as the Lord dealt with Pharaoh to let the Jews leave Egypt. As the plagues were sent on Egypt, after the first few plagues, the Lord differentiated between the Jews and the Egyptians. The first bowl of wrath, malignant sores, came only upon those who had taken the mark of the beast. The second and third bowl of wrath affected the waters which became blood. That was one of the plagues the Egyptians experienced. Also another bowl of wrath brought darkness to the antichrist and his henchmen. As in Egypt, the Christians were not affected. This must tell us that during the Old Testament times and at the conclusion of time as we know it, the Lord Jesus Christ is totally in control. Amazingly, yet not really because of the Lord’s amazing grace, it is still not too late for those who have not taken the mark of the beast to repent. There will very likely be only a few who have not become Christians who have not accepted the mark of the beast. If there are, they call still call on the Name of Jesus and be saved. Rebellious and deceived men curse God, their eternal destiny is sealed
