Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 4

January 4;      Hebrews 10:23;       213/260(III);        ‘Hold Fast’

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

This chapter tells us all about our great High Priest, the Lord Jesus.  How He willingly offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins.  The Lord Jesus, in perfect obedience to His Father, redeemed us from our sins and sicknesses, taking the curse of the Law upon Himself.  The Bible says that because of the love of Jesus and His proven commitment to us we are welcome in His presence in heaven.  We can have full assurance of faith in the Lord, our eternal High Priest.  Verse 22 teaches that because we are born again we can go to the Lord fully confident that He will meet any need that we may have or just to fellowship with Him, telling Him of our love for Him and our eternal gratitude.  This verse assures us that because the Lord Jesus is all of this, when we bring a need to the Lord in prayer, we know that He hears our petition and we can hold fast to our faith that He has answered that prayer need.  The Lord Jesus is faithful.  The Word tells us that the Lord is not a liar.  The Word tells us that it is truth.  The Word tells us that every blessing the Word tells us is ours, is.  The Word tells us that once we pray, we are to believe by faith that Jesus has heard and answered that prayer. How incredible this is.  Religion teaches that sometimes the Lord says yes to our prayers and sometimes He says no.  That is not biblical.  Find a verse or verses that tell you your need is met and because Jesus is who He is believe that your need has been met.  Jesus is faithful.
