December 19;     Mark 15:38;      43/2606   ;   ‘Torn Curtain’

Mark 15:38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.    NIV

The Lord Jesus was crucified.  Once the Lord Jesus accomplished everything He came to earth to accomplish, He gave up His spirit and died physically.  Immediately, the curtain in the temple was torn from the top to the bottom.  What does that mean?  That curtain was the entrance into the Holy of Holies.  The curtain was four inches thick and blocked the entrance to the presence of Almighty God.  The Lord is holy and humanity was not.  For sinful man, back then, to enter the presence of God brought immediate death.  No one but the High Priest could go into the Holy of Holies, and he could only go in once a year on the Day of Atonement.  Once Jesus died for our sins, God tore the curtain from the top.  From then on, once we become Born Again, we are welcome into the presence of God the Father because of the shed blood of Jesus.  Jesus, redeemed us from the curse Adam brought on this world.  The Bible now teaches that we are sons and daughters of God the Father.  The Bible teaches that the Father loves us as much as he loves Jesus.  The Bible teaches that because of the redemptive work of Jesus we have been made righteous, given right standing with the Father and are blessed with all spiritual blessings.  Almighty God, who humanity could not approach because of sin, is now our heavenly Father and we can call Him Abba (Daddy).  You and I are loved with an everlasting love.  The Word of God teaches all of these truths and so much more.  Spend quality time reading the Word and be richly rewarded by learning how much you are loved.  Religion is a lie, the Bible is God’s truth.
