Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 347

December 13;      Mark 9:23;      37/260;      ‘Build Your Faith’

Mark 9:23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

The Bible has much to say about faith.  Jesus said, ‘all things are possible to him who believes.’You may not have a lot of faith at this time and have a tough time believing this verse.  The good news is that your faith can grow.  How?  By being diligent to spend time daily reading the Word.  Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing (continuously) the Word of God.  You also build your faith by being conscious of the Lord answering your prayers.  Let each answered prayer build in you an ever growing foundation of faith.  Thank the Lord for each prayer He answers, write the prayers He answers in a journal and review that journal often. You are loved by the Lord, the Word is true.  The blessings recorded in the Word are yours, but receiving those blessings is not automatic.   Time in the Word renews your mind (Romans 12:2).  Renewing your mind is part of the process to build your faith.  A great deal of what the secular world teaches contradicts the Word of God.  This is intentional, the work of the devil.  He, satan will do all he can to prevent your faith from growing.  It is what the Bible teaches that defeats him and that is why satan does all he can to keep you away from the Word of God.  God’s Word is the “Last Will and Testament of Jesus Christ”.  If you are a Christian, you are in the family of God and every blessing in the Word is legally yours.  Stand on the Word knowing the blessings are yours.  All of the blessings in the Word belong to you as much as to anyone else.  God has no favorites.  Develop your faith, stand on the Word, pray knowing what it says is true and yours.
