Religious tradition and the Word of God are not the same.  Religion has its own teachings that may or may not be biblical.  The devil will do everything he can to keep us out of the Bible.  Religion is a perfect tool of satan, because it sounds so spiritual and is taught by those who tell you that they represent the Lord.  Often these men and women who teach religious ideas and not the Bible are not bad, they are simply deceived.  The incredible danger of religious tradition is what they teach makes you believe that you are a Christian and are alright with the Lord when you are not.  There are times when these religious leaders intentionally try to lure you away from the Word of God for various demonic reasons.  Christians are not religious, we have a personal relationship with God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ.  We do not accept religious teachings that are not biblical.  We have been given the Word of God to protect us from erroneous religious doctrines.  They may sound good, we may have learned and heard them all of our life, but if they do not line up with God’s Word, we cannot pay attention to them.  The Lord wants you to know Him and it is the Bible and only the Bible that teach us the truths of Almighty God.  Regardless of who is teaching you about the things of the Lord, always check what you are taught with the Bible.  The things of God are eternal and incredibly important.  You want to know what God says and only what He says.  Protect yourself and those you love by learning about the Lord through the Bible, nothing else.  The truth (God’s Word) makes you free.
