Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 335
Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 335
December 1; Matthew 25:21; 25/260; ‘Well Done’
Matthew 25:21 “His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'”
This parable refers to the talents and abilities given to each of us, that are used to glorify the Lord and help people. Jeremiah 1:6 tells us that before we were created by the Lord, He had a plan for our lives. In this parable, all three servants had at least one talent. No one is created by the Lord without at least one talent, which is given to make a difference on this earth. Our faithfulness to use these talents is the basis for our reward when we get to heaven. Our faithfulness to use what the Lord gave us also determines the assignment we are given in the thousand year reign of the Lord Jesus on this earth (the Millennium). Once we become a Christian, we must be interested enough in the things of God that we would want Him to reveal to us His will for our life. Pray if you are not sure what the Lord’s plan for your life is, and the Holy Spirit will reveal it to you. Your success and fulfillment in life is greatly enhanced as you know exactly what He wants you to do. Our blessing to this world is also the greatest it can be when we are doing what the Lord wants us to do. Everything we do for the Lord is vital and important. Our reward is based solely on being faithful to do what the Lord called us to do. The Lord will never compare us with anyone else. The Lord Jesus desires to say to each of us, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” The things of this world cannot compare to serving Jesus, doing what we were created to do. Let’s make up our mind today to seek His specific direction for our life. He created us and when we find His will for our life …and then do it, nothing can compare.
