Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." 

Remember in Exodus, the Lord Jesus revealed Himself to Moses in the burning bush as I AM that I AM.  I AM means I was, I am right now and I will always be.  Alpha is the first letter in the Greek alphabet and Omega is the last letter.  This tells us that Jesus is everything.  He tells us basically the same thing a second time, that He is the Beginning and the End.  Finally, Jesus tells us the third time that He is the First and the Last.  Our Lord is not bragging, He is revealing to John, through an angel, who believers will be with forever.  Jesus the eternal Son of God left heaven and came to earth to pay the price for our sins.  He did not have to be humiliated, mocked, beaten and crucified, but He chose to so that for all eternity we can be with Him.  By telling us that He is everything, He is in essence saying that forever we will be with the One who loved us enough to do what He did and His love for us will continue without end.  Jesus, as His Father, is not willing that any should perish and be separated from Him forever.  Everything will be done before and after to rapture of the church to bring everyone possible to salvation.  When the battle of Armageddon is over and believers and unbelievers stand before the Lord, each will see His incredible love for them in His eyes.  A minister that I greatly respect said that the greatest torment of hell will not be the flames, but forever the lost will remember looking into Jesus’ eyes of pure love and they will realize that they will never see Him again. Get saved and be with Jesus always.
