Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 31

January 31;      Revelation 3:5;       241/260(III);        ‘The Book of Life’

Revelation 3:5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

White garments refers to the righteous acts of Christians.  We will be wearing them when we return with Jesus from heaven at the battle of Armageddon.  Notice the Lord tells us that when we become born again, our name will not be blotted out of the Book of Life.  The Lord Jesus is a faith God.  The Word teaches that every name is in the Book of Life.  Your name is not written in the Book when you become a Christian.  Your name is already in the Book and it will never be blotted out.  Those who do not accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, will one day have their name blotted out of the Book of Life.  The Lord wants everyone to be saved.  One way He proves this is by putting every name of mankind into the Book of Life.  You have to reject Jesus in order for your name to be removed.  This is just one more way the Lord shows His incredible love for us, and His faith, that one day we will hear the Good News of Jesus, accept what we hear and become born again.  Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will proudly declare our name to His Father and the angels.  We are loved with a love beyond comprehension.  I cannot imagine the sadness of our Lord when someone stands before Him and the Book of Life is opened and the name of the person standing in front of Jesus disappears.  As believers, we have the privilege and indeed the responsibility to do everything we can to help everyone we can keep their name in the Book of Life.
