Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

We are told in this chapter that satan will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit for one thousand years by a mighty angel.  The thousand year period, which satan will be bound during is called the Millennium.  We are taught in this verse that when the thousand years are over, satan will be released from the bottomless pit.  Verse 8 declares that the devil will go out and deceive people all over the world.  Who are these people?  At the end of the tribulation and after the battle of Armageddon, only believers will be on the earth.  The church came down from heaven with Jesus and they have resurrection bodies.  Those who lived through the tribulation will inhabit the earth as well.  They do not have resurrection bodies.  They will marry during the Millennium and have children.  During the Millennium the curse on the earth will be lifted and people will live a very long time as they did in the beginning of humanity.  Those children, born to the Christian parents will have to make a decision concerning Jesus Christ to make Him their Lord.  Many will accept Jesus and many will not.  Jesus will be ruling the earth, but there will be those who will rebel against Him in their heart.  When satan is realeased from the bottomless pit, he will deceive those who have not accepted Jesus and they will join together for one final battle against our Lord.  The ‘battle’ will be short lived, fire comes down from heaven and destroys them all.  Finally, satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever to be tormented.  At last he will be gone.
