Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 307
Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 307
November 3; Revelation 19:13; 257/260; ‘Jesus, The Church, The Victory’
Revelation 19:13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
The Lord Jesus will be seen atop a white horse as heaven is opened (v11). The Lord is called Faithful and True. He is about to make war with (actually annihilate) the antichrist and his army. This is Jesus, the King of Kings and the Lord of lords, with eyes like a flame of fire and He will be crowned with many crowns (Verse 12). This verse tells us that His robe will be dipped in blood. Since the battle of Armageddon has not yet commenced, the blood on His robe is the blood He shed for our redemption. Jesus is called the Word of God. The church (Verse 14) will be mounted on white horses as well and will follow Jesus to the ‘battle.’ The antichrist armies (Verse 19), were drawn to the final battle of the tribulation, to battle with Jesus and His church. The beast and the false prophet were captured in (Verse 20) and thrown into the lake of fire. Verse 21 tells us that the armies of the antichrist were killed by the sword which came forth from the mouth of Jesus. That sword is the Word of God. The Millennial reign, one thousand years on the recreated, curse free earth will begin with Jesus Christ reigning. We, who have been faithful to do what the Lord has called us to do while we were alive on the earth will have positions of authority, reigning with Jesus. Our adversary, satan will have been thrown into the bottomless pit, where he will be chained for the one thousand years. Jesus, while He was on the earth allowed those who hated Him to crucify Him to set us free from our sins. Now, Jesus is, and forever will be King of kings.
