October 25;   Revelation 10:11;      248/260(IV);      ‘The Little Book’

Revelation 10:11 And he said to me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings."

Another mighty angel comes down from heaven.  He has a little book in his hands.  The right foot of the angel is on the sea and the left foot of the angel is on the land (verse2).  The interpretation of that is that the book in the angel’s hands is for the whole world.  Verses 8-11speak about that little book.  John was told to go and take the little book out of the hand of the angel.  John tells the angel to give him the little book.  The angel tells John to take the book and eat it.  Eating the little book will make John’s stomach bitter, but it will taste as sweet as homey.  The little book is what John and the two witnesses in chapter 11 will share with those on the earth.  The message of the little book will be as sweet as honey to those who hear the message and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  The message of the little book will be bitter to those who hear the message and reject it.  Verse 11 teaches that John and the two witnesses must share this message with everyone.  As the Bible tells us, the Lord is not willing that any should perish, even during the tribulation.  Think how strong the deception of the devil and the pride of man is.  The two witnesses will be killed.  They will be refused a burial and after three and one half days, they will resurrect and ascend to heaven.  Three angels will be circling the earth preaching to put their trust in the Lord Jesus, the destruction of Babylon, the antichrists kingdom, and warning everyone not to take the mark of the beast.  The mercy of the Lord doing everything He can to see everyone saved.
