Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 34

February 3;      Revelation 6:11;       244/260(III);        ‘Martyrs’

Revelation 6:11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. During the seven year period called the tribulation many Christians will be martyred.  The first half of the tribulation will be relatively ‘normal.’  In the second half of the tribulation, called the great tribulation, the antichrist will reveal himself as the ‘son of the devil’ demanding worship.  Those who will not worship him and take the mark of the beast in their forehead or right hand, will be killed.  Those martyred will be Christians.  They will know what the Word says about the antichrist and the mark of the beast and will refuse to take it.  Not all of the Christians will be martyred, but many will be.  They will be in heaven waiting for the end of the tribulation.  The white robes given to them represents purity.  Even though they did not get born again until the tribulation, once Jesus Christ became their Lord, all of their sins were forgiven, forgotten and cleansed. These tribulational saints are told they must be patient until the tribulation is over and the last of the Christians who would be martyred had taken place.  That means that even up to the end of the tribulation, people are becoming born again, putting themselves into the very real possibility of being martyred.  This is the mercy of the Lord.  Even if a person is martyred during the tribulation, they will immediately be in the presence of the Lord and will always be with Him.  Incredible events in the earth, angels preaching, 144,000 Jews preaching. All this and more happening to save the lost.
