February 7;   Acts 5:12;   94/260(VI);   ‘His Ministry Continues’ 

Acts 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch.

The Bible clearly teaches that the Lord Jesus ministered as a Man, by the power of the Holy Spirit, who came upon Him, when Jesus was water baptized in the Jordan River.  Jesus was the only One at that time who was empowered by the Holy Spirit.  His ministry was an example to His disciples and to us as how to live a supernatural life, flowing in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus told His disciples in John 16 it was vital that He go away, because when He did, He would send the Holy Spirit to empower them, just as the Holy Spirit empowered Jesus.  Jesus told the disciples not to leave Jerusalem until they were empowered by the Holy Spirit.  This means that Jesus always intended those who minister in His Name to minister by that Holy Spirit anointing power.  This happened on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2).  The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and others in the upper room and they began to do miracles signs and wonders just as Jesus did.  This empowerment is for all Christians who are baptized in the Holy Spirit.  Now, believers all over the world, can and do minister as the Lord Jesus did, the Word and the healing power of the Holy Spirit flowing out of them just as the Holy Spirit flowed out of Jesus.  Think how much more ministry the Church can accomplish today as Christians, all over the world, take their place in faith, empowered to preach, teach and do miracles, signs and wonders.  If you are Born Again, but not baptized in the Holy Spirit, go to a church that teaches this truth, get filled with the Holy Spirit and fulfill the Lord’s ministry for you.  The goodness and genius of God.
