December 13;   Romans 8:11;   125/260(II);   ‘Dwelling in You’

 Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

 

When we become Born Again, God, the Holy Spirit comes to live in our spirit (John 14:17).  This verse tells us that the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead (hell).  Romans 6:4 teaches that the glory of the Father raised Jesus from the dead.  If you put the two verses together, we see that the Holy Spirit is the glory of the Father.  How thrilling is that, the glory of God comes to live in our spirit when we are saved.  Most theologians agree that the greatest release of power that ever occurred was when the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead.  All of the demonic forces could not prevent the Holy Spirit from raising the Lord Jesus.  The Holy Spirit is our Helper and Strengthener.  This verse goes on to say that the Holy Spirit who lives in us after salvation will vitalize and give life to our mortal bodies.  The Amplified Bible says that the Holy Spirit will restore to life our mortal body.  This verse teaches that health and wholeness are ours.  What a powerful verse to get into your spirit and declare.  “The Holy Spirit has come to live in my spirit and He gives life and restores to life my body.  Therefore, I walk in divine health, sickness cannot dwell in my body and the Holy Spirit restores to life any infirmity that has previously attacked me.”   The Lord also wants you to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.  This will empower you to share the gospel and pray for the sick with great faith and boldness.  The incredible ministry of the Holy Spirit in you, enabling you to live in health and upon you, enabling you to be the Christian laborer we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be.  Thank you Holy Spirit.
