Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 108

April 17;   Galatians 1:15;   163/260(I);   ‘Called By Grace’

Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace,

Before Paul was born, God knew him, and had a plan for his life.  Jeremiah 1:5 says the same thing, that Jeremiah was called to be a Prophet before he was born.  These verses teach very important truths.  If God the Father knows everyone before they are born, and He does, then there are no ‘mistaken births.’  Everyone who is born was known prior to their birth and was supposed to be here.  This is one reason abortion is surch a sin.  Unborn children who are known by the Lord and who has a plan for their lives are denied the opportunity to fulfill His wonderful plan for each of them.  Since the Lord called Paul to preach the gospel and He called Jeremiah to be a Prophet, He had a specific plan for them both.  The Lord is no respecter of persons.  He would not have a specific plan for the life of Paul and Jeremiah and not have a specific plan for you.  We may not be called to be an Apostle like Paul or a Prophet like Jeremiah, but the Father has a plan for your life. He wants you to serve Him and be a blessing wherever you are.  Generally speaking, all of us are called to share the Gospel with others, attend and be active in a local church and support your church financially.  Then there are those specific things you alone are called to do.  How do you know what those specific things may be?  Get involved and by prayer, seek the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Our greatest value to the kingdom of God is knowing His perfect will for our lives and doing it.  He surely will lead you right in line with this perfect will if you seek to know it.  The Lord gives incredible value to every life and so must we.
