Remember that the Thursday Healing Service is today at 1:00pm.  You can watch it on Facebook or the church website.  Pastor Barry will be teaching about the Lord Jesus and the healing of the centurion's servant.  As a soldier the centurion understood authority and he believed that Jesus was the Son of God and had all authority to heal.  There are all  kinds of vital misunderstandings about healing in this account that we will talk about.  As with everything in the Word, this message will help you understand that healing is available to everyone through Jesus.

Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 107

April 16;   2 Corinthians 13:14;   162/260(I);   ‘The Trinity’

2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.      NLT

As Paul closes 2 Corinthians, he uses a Trinitarian benediction.  He blesses those who read the Book, invoking the blessings of the Trinity.  God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  The Members of the Trinity are three distinct ‘Persons,’ yet they are identical in love, power and vision for humanity.  They each play a different role in their ministry to humanity. God the Father planned everything.  The Lord Jesus Christ did everything.  The Holy Spirit enforces and reveals everything.  Paul blesses us as he closes the Book with three specific blessings.  One for each of the Members of the Trinity.  We experience God’s grace, our salvation and the benefits freely given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ.  We know the love God the Father has for us.  Loving us so much, that He freely gave the Lord Jesus to redeem us, so that we can spend eternity with Him.  The Lord Jesus told us as He was about to go to the cross and then be raised from the dead that He would send the Holy Spirit to indwell us and empower us. We now have fellowship with the Holy Spirit.  He leads us, helps us understand the Word and protects us as we take time to hear from Him in prayer.  Fellowship also means partnership.  We work together with the Holy Spirit.  He brings to our remembrance scriptures as we share with others and He empowers us to minister healing.  The Holy Spirit comforts us in times of need and He helps us in many ways.  How blessed we are that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are so intimately involved in our lives.  What a wonderful way to close the Book of 2 Corinthians.
