2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

Life is a battle.  There is a constant war going on pitting good against evil.  Both the One who is for you, the Lord and the one who is against you, satan, are spirit beings.  They live in the spiritual realm.  Paul says in this verse that our weapons in this warfare are not carnal, or natural weapons.  Natural weapons would do you no good against the devil, he is a spirit.  The Lord Jesus, after He rose from the dead, defeated and humiliated satan.  God the Father, the Holy Spirit, satan himself, angels and demons all know that Jesus was victorious over evil.  Adam, was created by the Lord and given authority over satan.  Adam lost the authority when he sinned, but Jesus gave us back that authority on this earth when He defeated the devil by raising from the dead.  The Lord Jesus has given us spiritual weapons to defeat satan in our warfare against him and demonic forces.  We are in this world, but the Lord Jesus told us that we are not of this world.  The very authority we have been given is a weapon.  The Name of Jesus is ours to use against the forces of darkness.  The Bible teaches us in Philippians 2 that the Name of Jesus is the highest Name and every knee must bow when we use His Name.  We have the Word of God, which teaches us who we are in Jesus and the fact that we have victory over the devil through Jesus Christ.  We also have the power of the Holy Spirit to defeat our enemy in any battle we face.  Learn from the Word who you are in Christ.  Know what has been given to you to be victorious.  Know this, believe this, use your weapons, living free and setting others free.
