Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse"  Day 103

April 12;   2 Corinthians 9:6;   158/260(I);   ‘Sowing & Reaping’

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully

Sowing and reaping is another Biblical financial principle established by the Lord to enable ministries and church projects to succeed financially.  No one could ever love and care about you more than the Lord Jesus and no one or nothing else could or would prosper you as He does when we obey the financial principles He has established.  It is clear, when you understand what the Bible teaches about the tithe, that the tithe is given to the local church you attend.  Over and above the tithe, offerings are given to other ministries or church projects, so that they can fulfill what the Lord has called them to do.  Where you sow your offerins is a decision made by the person sowing.  Finances are required for anything you desire to do.  Supporting God’s work is the most important use of your finances, simply because no one can or does more for others than the Lord.  When you sow, you always reap more than what you sow.  The seeds in one plant, when planted produce many plants of the same kind.  Money sown into ministries and projects produce money reaped.  Again, much more than what is sown.  The reaping is proportional to what is sown.  As you sow your finances, declare by faith the finances will bless the work you sow into and that the Lord will see to it that you reap based on what you sowed.  Our Lord looks at our heart.  If our offerings are sown in faith, the person sowing desiring that the Lord use the money to further the gospel, this blesses the Lord and He surely will see to it that, that person is blessed financially. The Lord sees our motives in our giving.   This is one way we do His work.
