Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  2024  Day 88

March 28;        I Corinthians 10:32;        143/260;        ‘Give No Offense’

1 Corinthians 10:32 Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,

The New Testament Law is love.  Paul in this verse admonishes us to ‘give no offense,’ to Jews, Greeks (Gentiles) or to the church of God. The Lord has categorized all of the people in this world into three categories.  The Jews, the Gentiles and the Church.  Once we become Christians the desire of our heart must be to bless everyone we can in these people groups.  At present, Jews still have a ‘tough time’ with Jesus being the Messiah.  We must never give up on reaching them with the Gospel.  Treating them with the love of God and sharing as the Holy Spirit leads enables you to ‘give no offense.’  They must be born again like anyone else. Being sensitive to them as you present Jesus can be done, as you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Love is the key to lead Gentiles to the Lord as well.  Let your character reflect Jesus.  Help them and pray for them when you know they are going through a difficult time.  We must never treat the unsaved in a condescending manner.  Jesus never did and when they see Jesus in us, it will open the door for us to kindly and effectively share the Gospel and lead them to the Lord.  When we are with fellow Christians, God’s love and your attitude again makes all of the difference.  Jesus knew who He was and yet He conducted Himself humbly, always looking to make sure others needs were met.  Live a purposeful life.  Do all that you can not to cause an offense.  The love of God opens the door for ministry to the Jews and Gentiles.  Plus, be a Christian other believers want to be around
