Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  2024  Day 113

April 22;       Ephesians 2:12;        170/260;        ‘Unacceptable’

Ephesians 2:12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

As committed Christians, this verse must be unacceptable to us.  The verse is true, but, those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we cannot allow them to remain without hope and without God in the world.  First of all we can pray for the lost.  The Lord Jesus said that the fields (people) were white for harvest, but the laborers (Christians who share the gospel) are few.  That too must be unacceptable to us.  Every day, before leaving your home for work, school or whatever you will be doing, ask the Lord to use you and open a door for you to share the Lord with others.  Look for opportunities to share chapter and verse and look for opportunities to extend the love of God.  Jesus said that people would know that we are Christians by our love (John 13:35).  Perhaps you would say that you are not bold or that you do not know the scriptures well enough to share them.  Ask the Lord for boldness, He will surely give it to you because He wants you to share and once you do, you will be so grateful and fulfilled (this is what we were created to do).  Look for opportunities to pray for people.  “I am a Christian and I see you are not feeling well, may I pray for you?” Almost no one says no and even if they did, you would know that you did your best to help them.  There can be no legitimate excuses for us as to why, as Christians, we do not do all we can to lead others to Jesus.  Their alternative is hell.  Let that register in your spirit.  They have no hope without Jesus, regardless of what they have in the natural.  Go get them.
