Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 75

March 16;       Philippians 4:19;       75/260(II);       ‘God’s Supply’

Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

The Apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit writes this encouraging, faith building, peace producing verse.  Financial pressures cause a great deal of anxiety for so many people, even Christians.  This verse assures us that as believers, loved by the Lord, that He will meet our material needs (and everything else) according to His riches in glory by the Lord Jesus.  Here is the part we play.  These blessings are not automatic, we have to be doers of the Word.  The Bible teaches us to tithe and give offerings over and above the tithe.  Obeying the Lord’s financial principles shows the Lord very clearly that His priorities, the salvation of souls and maturing the Church are our priorities as well.  This opens the door for the financial blessings of the Lord to flow into your life.  There are other biblical factors as well that by doing them, you line your life up with the blessings this verse teaches.  The Bible tells us we need to work to provide for our family.  The Bible also encourages us not to be lazy, to do our work as unto the Lord and to have a good attitude toward those we work with.  What the Bible teaches is not hard.  The Lord put the biblical financial principles in the Word to finance His work on the earth and to prosper His people.  Jesus Christ loves us.  He redeemed us from the curse that Adam brought upon us when he sinned.  Part of that curse is poverty.  Spiritual death was part of the curse.  We are redeemed from this when we become Born Again.  Sickness is part of the curse.  We are redeemed from sickness when we believe this and stand on the Word.  Obey the Word and prosper financially.
