March 9;    Ephesians 3:10;    68/260(II);    ‘The Triumphant Church’

Ephesians 3:10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,

The Lord gave Paul incredible insight into His plan for the Church and Paul was ever so diligent to faithfully teach the revelation he was given.  In God the Father’s incredible wisdom, He reveals to us, primarily through the teachings of Paul, the manifold blessings and ministry of His church.  Until we read the Bible, especially the letters of Paul to the churches, it is hard to imagine everything the Father has done for us and the incredible plans He has to use us to bring salvation to all of those who do not know the Lord Jesus as of yet.  This verse reveals that the Lord intends to use His church to show the demonic forces that nothing can stop His plan to bring salvation to countless multitudes of the unsaved.  The authority on this earth that Adam relinquished to satan when he sinned, was regained by the Lord Jesus and given back to humanity through His church.  The Lord Jesus paid our price for sins and sickness by His sacrifice on our behalf at the cross.  Jesus rose triumphant from the grave, disarming satan and his demonic forces.  Jesus ascended into heaven and is seated at the Father’s right hand, far above all of the demonic forces we must deal with here.  Ephesians 2 teaches that we, the church, are seated positionally and relationally with Jesus in heaven.  Therefore, we too are legally far above the demonic forces we encounter here.  It also means that we can and must use the authority, given to us by Jesus, over our enemy, to set the captives (the unsaved) free.  I encourage every believer to learn who you are in Jesus, it is the most exciting life that can be.
