Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 63
Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 63
March 4; Galatians 4:4; 63/260(II); ‘The Fullness of Time ’
Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
Someone said that God the Father has never had an idea, He has always known what He is doing. Our salvation was planned before time began. Adam did not have to sin, cursing the earth, but the Lord knew that he would. Jesus Christ, the Father’s remedy for the curse and our sins, was to come to earth, as a Man, somehow leaving His deity in heaven, to redeem us from our sins and sicknesses. This verse teaches that the Father knew exactly when He would send Jesus to begin His earthly ministry on our behalf. Knowing what this one verse teaches, should bring you peace. Knowing the Father saw our desperate condition, being alienated from Him by the sin of Adam and that the Father had no intention of letting us remain separated from Him by our sins. The Lord Jesus also had specific instructions from the Father. Jesus kept in constant contact with His Father by prayer, doing what the Father told Him to do (John 6:38) and saying what the Father told Him to say (John 12:49-50). In spite of the attempt of satan to kill Jesus, the constant hatred and desire of the religious leaders to kill the Lord and the mobs that wanted to stone the Lord, throw Him off a cliff and the arresting mob in Gethsemane, Jesus would not allow anyone to take His life until the plan of salvation was in place. In John 10, Jesus told us that no one could take His life, He laid down His life for us. The next ‘item’ on the Lord’s timetable is the rapture of the church. Before the seven year tribulation, when the Lord is dealing with Israel to accept Him and the Christ rejecting world, the Church will be taken home. The fullness of time.
