Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 353

December 19;      2 Timothy 3:15;       198/260(III);        ‘A Great Legacy’

2 Timothy 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

The Word of God tells us that Timothy’s mother and grandmother were godly women.  What an incredible blessing that is to a child.  God’s Word is truth and Jesus said that if we continue in the Word, we are His disciples and we would know the truth and the truth that we know will make us free (John 8:31-32).  Free from the lies and deception of the world system that hates and is opposed to the Lord.  If a child is diligently taught the Word by parents, who live the Word, that child will grow up secure and will have great success in life.  You can be ‘normal’ and love Jesus and His Word.  The things the world tells you are so important, need not be to a child, now an adult, who is strong in the Word.  This verse tells us why teaching your children the Word is so important.  The Word of God builds faith in our spirit (Romans 10:17). The Bible also gives us wisdom for salvation.  Salvation is an incredibly important and powerful word.  It means your sins have been forgiven, your body is healed, you have been made whole.  It means you have been rescued, you are safe and prosperous.  As parents read this blog, I sincerely pray that it impresses you to make sure your children know the Word, go to a Bible believing church and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Most schools and colleges, deceived by the devil, do all they can to turn your children away from the Word of God.  Faith in Jesus and knowing the Word protects and blesses your children.
