Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 322
Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 322
November 18; Galatians 6:7; 168/260(III); ‘Sowing & Reaping’
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Because of the Lord’s great love for us, He has established spiritual laws and principles to bless us, the Church. Satan knows this and tries to use what the Lord has established to bless the Church, to curse Christians. Here are a couple of examples. We have been given the measure of faith to receive the blessings that Jesus Christ has provided for us. When we pray and say, in faith, what the Word says about a situation and we receive the blessing that the Word says is ours. The devil will try to use our faith to believe negative things rather than what the Word says. When we believe the negative and speak it, the faith given to us to bless us is used by our enemy to hurt us. We are to use our mouth to speak life, what the Bible says. If we do not put a guard at our mouth, we can use our mouth and our words to curse ourselves. It is the same with the spiritual law of sowing and reaping. The Lord gave us this law to bless and prosper His church. We sow finances into the work of the ministry and we reap finances back good measure, pressed down and shaken together. We sow love and kindness and we reap them back multiplied. Again, the devil tries to pervert this God given law. The law of sowing and reaping is in effect regardless of what someone sows. Paul, by the Spirit of God tells us that whatever a man sows, he will reap. As Christians, we can and should use the ‘tools’ the Lord gave to bless ourselves and others. Remember the devil is a liar.
