Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 3

January 3;   Acts 19:12;   3/260(II);   ‘Anointed Cloths’

Acts 19:12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

Paul was an apostle and a teacher.  He was a man of the Word, a man of prayer and a worshipper of the Lord Jesus.  Paul was faithful to fulfill his ministry and it would be hard to find a more committed man of God in the Bible.  Paul was also baptized in the Holy Spirit and the Lord used him mightily in miracles, signs and wonders.  One of the ways the Holy Spirit used Paul to heal, was by his laying hands on handkerchiefs or aprons.  Cloth must be able to store the healing anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Then when the anointed cloth was brought to the person in need of healing, the anointing in the cloth would flow out of the cloth into the afflicted person.  When the Lord Jesus was ministering, one of the ways people were healed, was simply by touching His garments.  The incredibly powerful anointing on the Lord Jesus, would saturate His garments and then flow out of those garments into the sick.  There were so many who were sick that came to Jesus, that they were healed just by touching His garments. This was a quick and efficient method to heal.  In the case of Paul, laying hands on a cloth and then that cloth being brought to the person in need of healing, it eliminated the need of Paul physically being in the presence of the one who  needed healing.  Any Christian who is baptized in the Holy Spirit can lay their hands on a handkerchief or an apron in faith, believing and declaring that the healing anointing of the Holy Spirit goes out of their hands into the cloth and in turn the anointing in the cloth will be released into the one in need of healing, effecting a healing and a cure.  God wants you well.
