Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 299
October 26; I Corinthians 12:18; 145/260(III); ‘As He Pleased’
1 Corinthians 12:18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.
In Jeremiah 1:5 the Word teaches that the Lord knew Jeremiah before he was formed in his mother’s womb and planned for Jeremiah to be a prophet. The Bible also teaches that the Lord is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). What that simply means is that if the Lord had a plan for Jeremiah before he was even formed in his mother’s womb, He surely has a plan for each of our lives. Your success in life comes from learning what His will for us is and doing it. How do we do it? Prayer. Sincerely ask the Lord to reveal to you His plan for your life. Quietly listen. It may take a little bit of time, but if you are sincere, He will reveal to you what His will for your life is. It makes an abundance of sense that the Lord would reveal to you His plan for your life, because that would cause you to be the most effective that you can be for Him on this earth. As always, the world intentionally, trying to deceive you, asks you what do you want to do with your life? If the devil could get you to follow your dreams and not God’s plan, he can minimize your effectiveness for the Lord Jesus. Oftentimes, but not always, what you enjoy doing in the natural is a clue of God’s will for you. If you sing or play an instrument God could want you to use that gift for His glory. We have a good friend who knew he was to go to Russia and start a church. Only reluctantly he went. Now that he is there, there is nothing else he would rather do. Seek His will, find it, excel.
