Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 273
Pastor Barry's "Chapter & Verse" Day 273
September 30; Romans 2:11; 119/260(III); No Partiality’
Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.
The Bible teaches very clearly that the Lord has no favorites. Once we become born again, we are all in the family of God and His blessings, outlined in the Word of God belong to us equally. We all are to do the work of the ministry, generally outlined for us in the Bible. Then each of us have a specific call on our life to fulfill the ministry the Lord has called us to. If each of us is faithful to seek the Lord’s direction for His specific ministry for us, we will each receive an equal reward for our faithfulness to do what the Lord has for us. We are never compared to anyone else. In the Word of God it seems like the Lord has favorites, like David, Peter, James and John. That is not so. These men chose of their own volition to love the Lord, know Him, and stay in close fellowship with Him. How close we walk with Jesus is not up to Jesus, it is up to us. No one can prevent me from reading my Bible and fellowshipping with the Lord in prayer. Once I become born again, understand what the Lord Jesus did for me and how much He loves me, I have to determine for myself what that means to me and how I will respond to Jesus. The Lord greatly desires to fellowship with each of us. He surely is not partial. Regardless of who you are, your position in life and the background you have, if your intention is to grow as a Christian, becoming everything you have been created to be by, impartial Jesus is right there to walk as close to you as you choose.
