Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 267

September 24;       Acts 24:10;       113/260(III);       ‘Share With Everyone’

Acts 24:10 Then Paul, after the governor had nodded to him to speak, answered: "Inasmuch as I know that you have been for many years a judge of this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself,

Ananias the high priest, invited by Felix the governor, came with an orator named Tertullus to ‘give evidence’ against Paul.  Nothing that was said was true concerning what Paul did.  When Tertullus had finished with his accusations, Felix allowed Paul to speak. Paul promptly denied the charges and began to share his testimony of what actually happened and the gospel with Felix and all who were in attendance.  One reason the Lord trusted Paul was that he was faithful to share Jesus with everyone wherever he went and with whomever he was with.  You may say, that was because Paul was called to be an Apostle.  No we are all, according to 2 Corinthians 5, ministers of reconciliation and ambassadors for Christ.  The simple truth is that Paul chose to share the gospel.  When we first get saved, I know that it was true for me, that I was reluctant to share the gospel out of intimidation.  As time goes on, as you grow in the Lord, realizing what he has done for you, the desire to share increases and the ‘fear of man’ decreases, then finally goes away.  The greatest adventure in life is to do the Lord’s work.  Never knowing the response of the one you share with, or how your sharing will affect them is exciting.  When you share the gospel, it never returns void, but always makes an impact on who you share with.  We, like Paul have the incredible privilege, to potentially make an eternal difference in the life of another. Can’t beat that.
