August 11;       John 1:42;       69/260(III);       ‘Find & Bring’

John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus.  Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone).

Andrew, the brother of Peter, was a disciple of John the Baptist.  One day, John the Baptist, saw Jesus, and said, “Behold the Lamb of God.” When he said this the two disciples with him (one of them was Andrew), followed Jesus.  The disciples remained with Jesus for the day and whatever Jesus said convinced Andrew that Jesus was the Messiah.  The first thing Andrew did, was he found his brother Peter, telling Peter that he had found the Messiah.  Then Andrew, brought Peter, to Jesus.  How wonderful this truth is.  Once we have found and accepted the truth, that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, we need to bring others to Jesus as well.  Personal testimonies are the primary way others become Born Again.  The greatest joy we can ever experience is to bring someone to Jesus.  I heard a well known Pastor say, “Treat everyone as if they have a broken heart, because most likely they do,” Nothing and no one can fix a broken heart or the incredible problems people have today, other than Jesus.  Sincere, love and sharing the truth of the gospel, impacts the spirit of the person you are speaking with.  Quietly seek the direction of the Holy Spirit. He will lead you in how to share.  The Lord dearly loves all of us and will help you bring that person to Jesus.  The more we purpose in our heart to do this, the easier it is, and the more success we will have. Just like Andrew we will see others accept Jesus when we bring them to Him
