Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 193

July 12;    Mark 11:23;    39/260(III);     ‘Believe, Say, Receive’

Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

We have been created in the image of God and have the capacity to conduct our lives in much the same way as He does.  God is spirit, we are a spirit.  God’s love and the fruit of the Spirit come into our spirit when we become Born Again.  This enables us to manifest the character and nature of Jesus.  We are empowered by the Holy Spirit, just as the Lord Jesus was, when we become baptized in the Holy Spirit.  We have been given the Name of Jesus to pray and minister by.  Jesus is the Head of the Church and we are His body.  Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches.  The Lord Jesus commissioned us to continue His ministry.  Finally, and this is what we must see is, that the Lord Jesus created everything with His words.  Jesus’ words have great power and so do ours.  This verse is part of the Law of Faith.  We have been given faith to receive the blessings of the Lord.  When we have a challenge in our life (‘mountain’), we are to find the chapter and verse in the Bible that teaches that the Lord has delivered us from that challenge that we face.  We are to believe what the Bible says, speak in faith that that ‘mountain’ has been removed and receive the blessing that it is gone.  Our words have great power.  The Word of God is our Prayer Book.  If you are a Christian every blessing in the Word is legally yours.  It is vital for us to know the Word.  Know what the blessings are, believe that they are ours and speak them out.  Then they are yours.
