Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 165

June 14;   Matthew 10:30;   10/260(III);   ‘Infinite Love & Care’

Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

We have been conditioned in a world under the dominion of our mortal enemy the devil, to be constantly under pressure financially, time wise and in all of the daily challenges we face.   Stress and anxiety just seem to be a normal part of our lives. The Lord Jesus never intended us to live like this.  We are told to cast our cares upon the Lord and to be anxious for nothing.  It almost sounds irresponsible and that is exactly what the devil wants you to think.  Does the Lord want us to neglect the daily duties we have?  Of course not.  We still have something we must do.  What we must do is trust the Lord who has told us of His incredible love for us.  Jesus also tells us in His Word that He will meet every need that we have, if we have faith to believe that He will.  We are to live our lives in line with the teachings of the Bible.  An example would be, if we are diligent in our career, doing our work as unto the Lord and not unto men and doing this with a good attitude, we will prosper financially.  Add to this obeying biblical financial principles, the tithe and offerings and helping those in financial need and we will surely prosper and never have to worry about our finances.  The Lord Jesus commanded us not to worry about natural things, but to seek the things of God first and every need we have will be abundantly met.  As Christians, we are not our own, we belong to the Lord and He takes good care of us.  That is not foolish, that is Bible.
