Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 71

March 12;   Romans 10:9;   127/260(I);   ‘Confess & Believe’

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Salvation is granted to someone when they declare with their mouth, what they believe in their heart (spirit), that Jesus Christ is Lord.  That He died on the cross for their sins and sicknesses.  Also, remember that ‘saved’ means more than your sins are forgiven.  Healing, safety, wholeness, prosperity and more are received the same way. This is how we receive everything from the Lord as well.  Everything we receive from the Lord, we receive by faith.  As we read the Word of God, seeing how much we are loved and everything the Lord Jesus did for us and gave to us, faith, believing what the Bible says, grows in our spirit.  Faith teaches that as you read the Bible and see the things that legally are yours because you are a Christian, then say with your mouth what you have come to believe in your heart that you have what you need and it will be yours.  None of this will happen if you do not spend time reading the Word of God. This is because of the simple reason that you cannot declare something is yours if you do not know it belongs to you.  If you discipline yourself to read the Word, you will begin to enjoy reading the Word.  It is fascinating.  Getting Born Again is the starting point in your walk with Jesus.  Time in the Word will mature you in the things of the Lord.  Christian growth comes by time spent reading and studying the Word of God.  Additionally prayer, worship and attending and getting involved in a good church will mature you and create a spiritual strength in you that will bless you all of the days of your life.  Know the Word.  Declare the Word. Receive all the Word says.
