Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 65

March 5;   Romans 3:24;   120/260(I);   ‘Justified By Grace’

Romans 3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

The Apostle Paul taught us all about righteousness and grace.  The epistles, or letters to the churches (Romans through Jude), most of them written by Paul, teach us what has been given to us because of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf.  The religious, made up ideas of mankind concerning salvation are refuted by the truth of the Word of God.  This is why God’s Word is so vital and so imperative for you to know it.  God’s Word never changes and teaches God’s way of becoming right with Him through the sacrificial work of the Lord Jesus Christ on our behalf.   Paul is talking about being justified (made righteous), by the grace of God through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus.  God’s grace simply means that the Lord saved us because He loves us.  His grace is what the Lord did for us because He loves us, wants us to be with Him forever and knew it was the only way for us to be brought back into fellowship with Him.  His grace made us righteous when Jesus, who never sinned, took our sins upon Himself on the cross.  The right standing Jesus had with the Father becomes ours when we believe these truths.  No condemnation, no guilt, no past, just perfect fellowship with God the Father by Jesus’ sacrifice for us.  The Lord did this because of His love, His grace that would not allow us to be separated from Him.  It was His idea, Jesus’ finished work and our simply accepting this incredible gift.  The Gospel is Good News.  Once we know how much we are loved and what Jesus willing did for us, loving and serving Him becomes our greatest joy.  Amazing grace.
