Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 64

March 4;   Romans 2:24;   119/260(I);   ‘A Sober Reality’

Romans 2:24 As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."

When a person hears the real Gospel, how much they are loved and what the Lord Jesus did for that person, it makes an impression upon them.  They may reject the information for awhile, but they cannot deny that if the Word of God is true, the Gospel is truly Good News.  We, as Christians play a huge role in influencing a person toward Jesus or away from Jesus, by our conduct.  How do we act on the job?  Do we gossip and criticize others?  What kind of a work ethic do we have?  Do they find us at all of the places that they are at, even though they are surprised that we would go there?  We must not allow the Lord’s Name to be blasphemed because of us.  If we can negatively effect them concerning Christianity, we can certainly positively effect them as well.  Courtesy, kindness, respectful behavior and walking in love with everyone that we come in contact with, makes an incredible impression on the unsaved and very often will open their heart to be Born Again.  We are living epistles.  The reality of how a Christian conducts himself or herself, is a real life testimony to the life changing ability of the Lord Jesus and His Word.  Many say that they are a little timid in sharing the gospel.  Let your conduct share the gospel.  If you do, you will not have to build up your courage to share with them, they will seek you out to find out why your lifestyle is so much different and better than theirs.  We do not flaunt who we are, but humble, consistent Christ like actions and words, bring not only conviction, but hope to the unsaved.  There is a better way to live and they will want it.
