Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 6

January 6;   Luke 17:21;   61/260(VI);   ‘The Kingdom of God’

Luke 17:21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."

The Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of God would come.   Religion has no clue.  The Lord tells them that the Kingdom of God is within us.  What does that mean?  When we get to heaven, everything we could ever want or need is there.  The Kingdom of God within us means that while we are here on earth, we can live just like we will live forever in heaven, with every need met.  What an incredible truth.  Almighty God is our Heavenly Father.  When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and become Born Again, eternal life is planted in our spirit.  Every blessing that is legally ours begins here on earth.  There is one difference.  The difference is that in heaven there will be no challenges for the blessings of the Lord.  Here on earth, the devil will challenge us and sometimes our flesh will as well.  Knowing we have authority over the devil and rebuking his lying and tempting thoughts will go a long way to prevent our blessings from being stolen here.  As we discipline our flesh, we do not have to contend with the misery and harm sin brings.  Jesus’ desire for us is that we live the Kingdom of God blessings here while we are alive.   The blessings that legally belong to us enable us to live in a manner that the Lord always intended us to live.  The Lord blesses us abundantly because He loves us and He does this also so that since our needs are met, we have time to help others learn of His provision.  When we become Born Again, the Kingdom of God is in us and now it becomes our intention to make sure that the Kingdom of God is in other people as well.
