Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 56

February 25;   Acts 22:15;   111/260(VI);   ‘Paul the Faithful’

Acts 22:15 For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.

Paul was in Jerusalem and he was arrested.  The Roman soldiers had to rescue him from the religious Jews or they would have killed him.  Paul, receiving permission from the Roman commander, to speak to the people, began to speak to them in Hebrew.  When the Jews heard Paul speaking in their native language, they kept quiet and listened.  Paul shared his testimony concerning his religious training, his hatred for Christians and his determination to persecute them.  Then he shared how the Lord Jesus confronted him on his way to Damascus and told Paul that he would serve Jesus from this point forward.  The glory to the Lord Jesus had temporarily blinded him and those with Paul took him to Damascus.  A man named Ananias was sent by the Lord to heal him of his blindness and confirm his ministry.  The Lord told Ananias to tell Paul that he would be a witness for the Lord Jesus.  As determined and faithful as Paul had been to persecute the Christians, he would now be just as determined to preach the Gospel.  We have natural qualities that the Lord can use.  Jesus ‘sanctified’ the determination and zeal of Paul and used it for the Lord’s glory.  The Lord is a God of faith.  He always sees us as who we can be in Him.  He will take those good qualities and they will be a great asset to help you fulfill your ministry.  Those parts of your life that you do not need, He will help you to get rid of them so that you can be all you were created to be.  What the Lord Jesus did for and with Paul, He will do with you.
