Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 43

February 12;   Acts 9:6;   98/260(VI);   ‘Changed’

Acts 9:6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."

Saul the Pharisee was on his way to Damascus to arrest Christians and bring them to Jerusalem.  As he journeyed, a light shone down upon Saul and he fell to the ground.  The Lord Jesus spoke to Paul and asked him why he was persecuting Jesus.  Think of that, Jesus was in heaven.  Was Saul persecuting Jesus?  If you persecute Christians, you are persecuting Jesus.  Remember that when you are persecuted.  They are really persecuting Jesus, and He is well able to help you and He will.  Saul, soon to be Paul the Apostle asked Jesus what He wanted Saul to do.  One minute Saul is persecuting Christians and the next minute he is asking Jesus what he is to do.  When you are confronted by the supernatural, it is hard for you to deny the experience and it would be foolish not to respond to the supernatural confrontation.  People need a supernatural encounter with the Lord.  It might not be as spectacular as Saul, but they need to be confronted in love, somehow, by the Holy Spirit.  Maybe it is conviction because they have never believed on Jesus.  That is one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-8).  Maybe the unsaved person sees a miracle and realizes the Word is true.  Perhaps they are in a service and as they listen to the Word, they realize that they are loved by God the Father and this is what they have been looking for all of their lives.  Life without being Born Again makes no sense.  A ‘dose’ of the supernatural is just what someone needs.  Pray that your loved ones will experience this.  Just know that the Lord, will change you into what He always wanted you to be, supernaturally.
