Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 237

August 24;   Matthew 25:40;   25/260(II);   ‘Bless Them, Bless Jesus’

Matthew 25:40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

After the seven year period we call the tribulation, a one thousand year period of time will begin, called the Millennium.  The Lord Jesus will rule and reign during the Millennium, along with His Church.  The earth will no longer be cursed and satan will be imprisoned in the bottomless pit for one thousand years.  At the end of the Millennium, the devil will be released and he will deceive all of those he can, drawing them to a final battle in Jerusalem.  Fire will come down from heaven and satan will be cast into hell for all eternity.   Please remember this, because it is so important.  Your faithfulness to find the Lord’s will for your life and doing it, while you are alive on the earth, will determine the position and responsibility you will be given during the Millennium.  The Lord Jesus, at the end of the Millennium and after satan is cast into hell, will sit on a throne blessing those who accepted Him during the Millennium and judging those who never accepted Jesus throughout the history of mankind.  One of the areas of serving the Lord will be your kindness to help those in need.  Good works do not save you, believing the Bible and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior does, but they will be rewarded for blessing others.  Religion helps others, deceived into thinking good works is what is needed to go to heaven.  Even the lost help others, hoping their actions can somehow salve a guilty conscience for a lifestyle deep inside they know is wrong.  The only motive for helping others the Lord rewards, is His love in Christians, reaching out to bless them, also desiring to lead them to Jesus .
