Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 201

July 23:   Revelation 21:6;   259/260(I);   ‘Jesus – Our Eternal Lord’

Revelation 21:6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

On the cross, the Lord Jesus cried out, just before He yielded up His spirit, “It is finished.”  The Lord would not die physically until everything that needed to be done for our redemption was accomplished.  Once again, Jesus will tell us that ‘it is done.’  The rapture brought the entire church to heaven.  During the tribulation the 144 thousand Jewish evangelists did their work and then were raptured to heaven.  The tribulation Christian martyrs are with Jesus.  Those who accepted Jesus during the tribulation and were not martyred are with Jesus.  The Millennium is now over and eternity is about to begin.  Humanity, since men were created, who never accepted Jesus as Lord, the antichrist, his forces, all of those who refused to accept Jesus during the Millennium and satan himself will all be cast into the Lake of Fire.  Our eternal home will be the new earth and the new Jerusalem.  There will be no temple in the new earth.  God the Father and the Lord Jesus will be the temple.  The sun and the moon will not be needed, as the glory of the Lord illuminates the new earth.  The gates of the new Jerusalem will never be shut and there will be no night in the new earth.   As eternity commences, this verse highlights once again. that everything begins and ends with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the beginning of all things. He is the source of all things.  Jesus also is the end of all things, which means He is the goal of all things.  Everything in this world finds its climax, its meaning and its purpose in and through Jesus Christ.  You are loved and have always been loved by the Lord Jesus, make Him Lord.
