Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 199

July 21:   Revelation 19:15;   257/260(I);   ‘Armageddon’

Revelation 19:15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

The stage is set.  The finality of the great tribulation has come.  The antichrist has gathered all of his forces to the valley of Megiddo.  In their pride and deception, they believe that they will defeat the Lord Jesus Christ and His followers.  Verses 11-15 describes the Lord Jesus on that day.  While on the earth, Jesus was kind and compassionate, allowing the religious leaders and the Roman soldiers to mock, humiliate and crucify Him.  Jesus did this in order to redeem us from sin and sickness.  The Lord Jesus Christ, now in heaven, is King of kings and Lord of lords.  He has been seated at the right hand of the Father, far above the demonic forces that He dealt with and that we currently deal with.  His authority is absolute.  Heaven opens (verse11) and the Lord Jesus is seen, sitting on a white horse.  His eyes will be like a flame of fire (verse12).  Jesus will be wearing a robe, dipped in blood and His Name is called the Word of God (verse 13).  We the church, the 144 thousand Jewish evangelists and the tribulational saints will follow the Lord Jesus, each of us will be on our own white horse (verse 14).  This verse tells us that a sharp sword is coming out of His mouth.  That is the Word of God, that He fights with.  He is about to set up His millennial kingdom on earth that He will rule over for one thousand years.  Jesus will rule during the millennium powerfully.  The Lord is about to unleash His wrath on the antichrist and his forces, crushing them as someone in a winepress would crush grapes.  There is no battle, the forces of antichrist are slaughtered by the Lord as Jesus’ followers watch.  God always wins.
