Pastor Barry's  "Chapter & Verse"  Day 134

May 14, 2018;       Revelation 1:1;       239/260(II);       ‘The Revelation of Jesus Christ’

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants — things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

When I first became a Christian, there were a series of movies about end times.  All of them depicted what the devil and the anti-Christ were doing.  The movies were probably created to scare the unsaved so much that they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Verse 1 of chapter 1 completely dispels this.  This is the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ and what He is going to do during the end times.  The Lord will be dealing with Israel to accept Him as their Lord.  Multitudes of Jews will accept the Lord and multitudes of gentiles as well.  Angels will be preaching, telling everyone that satan’s system has fallen.  The angels will warn everyone not to take the mark of the beast.  There will be 144,000 Jewish evangelists preaching.  Moses and Elijah will be preaching.  The Lord will pour out His wrath on the world that has rejected Him.  The anti-Christ and the demonic forces who follow him will persecute those who will not take the mark of the beast.  Jesus Christ is Lord and He will protect and provide for those who refuse to take the mark.  As the 7 year period called the tribulation ends, the Lord Jesus will return to earth, with us the Christians who were raptured off of the earth before the tribulation began.  At the battle of Armageddon, the Lord Jesus will destroy the forces of the anti-Christ and they will be cast into the lake of fire.  The devil will be caught and thrown into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years. Remember, Jesus is Lord.
